My name is Sarah Skelton. I am a Southern Methodist University graduate. I majored in Fashion Media and minored in French. While attending SMU, I have gained the knowledge of many technical positions being apart of The Daily Update, SMU-TV’s daily news show. I contributed to the launch of the fashion media department’s Instagram and twitter.
SMU-TV’s daily news show taught me how to work the cameras, be a technical director, director, video server and audio engineer. I have been trained on Avid iNews and can shoot on a Sony NX5U HD camera and edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
In 2019-2020, I worked in customer sales at a retail store called Planet Blue and helped promote the store on social media and through my relationships at SMU. I also worked for Michaela Blaney at Echelon Creative, Inc, that curated posts for celebrity social media accounts to expand their brands digitally.
